PLEASURE IN THE JOB PUTS PERFECTION IN THE WORK

In my personal opinion, having a job which I enjoy the best totally out-weights a job that is only able to fulfill my monetary demands and financial expectations. People spend a great deal of their life being occupied by their careers. The average daily hours that an individual may spend working is approximately eight. However, most of the people have more extended work hours. Considering such long time at work, it seems reasonable to try making fun out of your job; otherwise it will be a real pain in the ass.

Having a favorable job is equal to doing a recreational activity. It refreshes the mind and rebuilds the spiritual state of the job owner. People never feel tired while doing their hobbies. Inversely, they become creative by being involved in what they really enjoy. In this way, the chance of making improvement and even earning extra money seems to be reachable.

Money is not the key factor of happiness and satisfaction. Although financial issues play important roles in today life; however, having a high-class style of living does not guarantee that you feel happy.

Moreover, choosing a job just due to having high income without pleasure means spending the majority of a life on doing something that is annoying rather than interesting in order to earn the money with the objective to achieve the things that is favorable and enjoying. This seems rather irrational and sound like wasting a life on nothing.

To sum it up, I strongly believe that an enjoyable job even with a low salary surpasses the advantages of a high salary job that is not fulfills my emotional demands of a career. Enjoying a job means being involved in a hobby-like activity that helps me to be creative and successful that in turn enhances my self-confidence and social image.

Depression is the common cold of mental disorders most people will be affected by depression in their lives either directly or indirectly, through a friend or family member. Confusion about depression is commonplace, e.g., with regard to what depression exactly is and what makes it different from just feeling down.

There is also confusion surrounding the many types of depression that people experience unipolar depression, biological depression, manic depression, seasonal affective disorder, dysthymia, etc. There have been so many terms used to describe this set of feelings we’ve all felt at one time or another in our lives, it may be difficult to understand the difference between just being blue and having clinical depression.

Depression is characterized by a number of common symptoms. These include a persistent sad, anxious, or “empty” mood, and feelings of hopelessness or pessimism that lasts nearly every day, for weeks on end. A person who is depressed also often has feelings of guilt, worthlessness, and helplessness. They no longer take interest or pleasure in hobbies and activities that were once enjoyed; this may include things like going out with friends or even sex. Insomnia, early-morning awakening, and oversleeping are all common.

Appetite and or weight loss or overeating and weight gain may be symptoms of depression in some people. Many others experience decreased energy, fatigue, and a constant feeling of being “slowed down.” Thoughts of death or suicide are not uncommon in those suffering from severe depression. Restlessness and irritability among those who have depression is common. A person who is depressed also has difficulty concentrating, remembering, and trouble making decisions. And sometimes, persistent physical symptoms that do not respond to traditional treatments such as headaches, digestive disorders, and chronic pain may be signs of a depressive illness.

Charming Chenderoh Lake

The fishing may be better elsewhere, but you can’t beat the ambience and hospitality at Tasik Chenderoh. If you drive from Kuala Kangsar towards Gerik, Perak, you will come across signboards that announce the quaint names of local villages and towns — Sauk, Kati, Kampung Seterus and Changkat Duku, to name a few. Then you will see a row of stalls on the left, the makings of a future town. The sign tells you that you have reached Kampung Kelantan. Turn right into the village, drive along the narrow road to its end, and you’ll be rewarded with the panoramic vista of an emerald-green lake.

You have reached one of the oldest impoundments in the Peninsula — Tasik Chenderoh. The lake was built in the 1920s, during the colonial era when intense development was happening in our country. The Chenderoh Dam generated much-needed hydro-electric power to feed the hungry town of Ipoh and its attendant tin mines.

The lake is so old, the inundated stands of timber have all but disappeared save for stubborn stumps that lie just below the water surface, waiting for errant boatmen. The water is now a rich haven for aquatic life, especially the fishes.

It is a locally known fact that this lake produce fish that are far tastier than those from, say, Kenering and Temengor, further up north. Chenderoh is famous for its ikan pekasam, small fish like lomah and lampam preserved in rice paste.

It is ironic that for many years anglers have by-passed Chenderoh for the more “glamorous’’ lakes like Temenggor (errantly referred to as Banding, which is actually an island in the middle of the lake). Granted, the sportfish of Chenderoh — the toman, belida and sebarau — are generally smaller than in other bigger lakes, but they are compensated by the idyllic setting.

Tasik Cermin Ipoh’s Hidden Gem

Tasik Cermin, or Mirror Lake, is a stunning hidden lake surrounded by limestone karst towers. There are actually two lakes concealed within this karst formation but only one is currently accessible. Sadly, the lake is under severe threat from quarrying and who knows whether it will be around much longer. Go now while you still can. If enough people know about this beautiful place and make a big fuss perhaps it can be saved.

These Google Maps 3D images clearly show what is happening. The age-old limestone karst hills known as Gunung Rapat, which give Ipoh its nickname of  ‘Guilin of Malaysia’ are being hollowed out from the inside by uncaring quarry operators. Soon only the outer facade of the hill formation will be left, threatening not only this lake but also the famous cave temples such as Sam Poh Tong and Kek Lok Tong which draw in tourists from around the world.

There are about 6 to 7 shops that are open daily with variety of foods that we can choose for. For now the visitors are not allowed to do activities in the lake because they try to set up and its under on going project.

Face Masks Ineffective Against Coronavirus, Keeping Hands Clean Is Best Prevention Method

For those who are rushing to buy face masks and gloves, this one’s for you. Stop and forget that. The most effective way to avoid coronavirus is to consistently wash your hands throughout the day, while face masks and gloves actually spread the virus more.

“First of all, masks. There are very limited evidence of benefits, if any, in a casual situation. Masks are useful for those who are unwell to protect other people from them. But wearing a mask all the time will be ineffective. It will allow viruses to be transmitted around it, through it and worse still, if it becomes moist it will encourage the growth of viruses and bacteria. No more having to go store to store looking for universally sold out face masks. All you have to do is always ensure your hands are as clean as possible and the Wuhan virus will stay at bay.

Coronavirus Patients May Get Infected Again After Discharge, Advises Longer Isolation

It has been reported that coronavirus patients have a mortality rate of 2% and many patients are being discharged every day. However, patients who have recovered from the virus can get infected again even after they have been discharged.

According to China Press, a doctor from Beijing Chaoyang Hospital said that patients can experience symptoms again and advises that patients be quarantined for another two weeks after being discharged. Doctor Tong mentioned that in many of the cases, symptoms often show after seven to 14 days after getting infected. This means that it is possible for patients to experience symptoms again after two weeks of being “cured” and therefore, should be kept in isolation even after being discharged. He pointed out that discharged patients often return to society after recovering, which can be dangerous as they might still be infected.
